After School Learning

A child's capacity to learn extends beyond the classroom.  It's a parent's responsibility to ensure that their children are involved in safe and meaningful after school activities.
Visit the museums in your community at least once each year to develop your child's intellectual curiosity.

Join and take an active role in programs like Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts, YMCA's Indian Guides / Princesses.

Visit the local zoo and develop an interest in nature within your child.

Volunteer with your child once a month in a soup kitchen or shelter.

Coach or volunteer to help with your child's youth sports team.

Visit the library regularly and check out books.

Rent videos, watch movies together, and talk about them afterwards.
